Obtaining an Official England Golf Handicap Index

In order to access England Golf's Handicap system and HowDidiDo, a player will need to have added their date of birth to their profile.

ECGC is affiliated to England Golf and would be pleased to help you obtain an official handicap index. A handicap index is achieved by submitting cards for 54 holes of golf at Eton (in rounds of 9 or 18 holes). A player must state in advance of play if a card is to be submitted, and these cards must be marked and signed by a golfer who is knowledgeable on the rules of golf. The round should be played off the yellow/red tees.

Once the round has been completed, the player and marker should verbally agree the score then the marker should sign, photograph, and email the card to: secretary.ecgc@gmail.com

Once a player has submitted cards detailing 54 holes of play they will be allocated a handicap index. They will then be able to access HowDidiDo, which is used to enter competitions, enter scores for casual rounds and maintain a handicap.

When a player has a handicap index they will also be able to see information about their handicap on the My England Golf App (MyEG) or website which is found at: https://members.whsplatform.englandgolf.org/ To register you will need your handicap number, date of birth and the email address that ECGC holds for you.

We encourage members to get a handicap index so that they can get the most out of their membership.
